The anti-novelty canon is a contested principle of Constitutional interpretation that interpretations of statutes that would mean the statute produces a novel result should be treated with suspicion.

Anti-Novelty is also a promise that nothing written here will be anything that better thinkers than me haven’t already covered. There will be reluctant traditionalism, amateur theology and slightly less amateur philosophy and legal theory. I’m more try-hard here than on twitter.
